GMS weekly report on PAKISTAN shipbreaking industry for WEEK 28 0f 2011:

Pakistan stood some way off the pace once again for the week with India flying ahead in demand and numbers on show.

As such, it was hardly surprising to see no units register locally and until Pakistan is competitive on levels the sales board is likely to stay blank.

Many end buyers seem to content to cherry pick favored units in particular gas free for man entry tankers with the tendency to follow on the coat tails of whatever the Indian market is doing rather than setting the agenda themselves.
