CHITTAGONG, Jul 17: A worker died in the shipbreaking yard along Bhatiary coast when a steel plate fell down on him while he was working.
The worker, Md Khorshed Alam (20), suffered severe injury as the heavy plate fell hitting him on the head early in the morning today. He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where the attending doctors pronounced him dead.
Alam was working at SMS Ship Breaking Yard at Bhatiary of Sitakunda.
He was the son one Md Alauddin of Kumira under Sitakunda, hospital police said.
